Norton White strengthens Melbourne transport practice with senior appointment - Alison McKenzie joins as partner

Specialist transport and aviation law firm Norton White has announced the appointment of a new international commercial, regulatory and dispute specialist Alison McKenzie as a partner.

Ms McKenzie, who will be based in Norton White’s Melbourne office, was previously the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary of Team Global Express, formerly known as Toll Global Express.  Her responsibilities over seven years with the Global Express business included managing all legal aspects of Team Global Express multi-modal transport businesses by road, rail, air and sea.

Ms McKenzie’s considerable experience includes working as a partner with international law firms Gates & Partners and Kennedys in London, and in-house for major international airlines Qantas and Emirates and Europe's leading short-haul airline, easyJet UK.

During her career, Ms McKenzie has advised maritime operators, logistics providers, commercial airlines, corporate jet operators, business aviation lobby groups and general aviation clients. Additionally, she has managed large scale litigation in respect of aircraft, helicopter and general aviation disasters.
